After reading the Reflection on an Aural Genre document in Week 15, post on the following questions: How did switching genres from academic paper to podcast allow you to think in a different way about the subject of your paper? How did it allow you to use language differently?
Switching from the academic paper to the podcast I had to make sure my writing was in a way that I could speak without getting caught on words or sentences that didn’t make any sense. The paper would have to be in a way that we could read it without it really sounding like an academic paper. I wanted mine to sound like I was just talking rather than reading it off. My language was different because I used different words than I would have if I was just writing an academic paper. I wanted to use more word choices that I would naturally say rather than words that I would use when writing a paper. This allowed me to be able to use those words and still make it a good and appropriate paper.
